Desiree's Cake

This is for a bridal shower for my neighbor. The bottom is chocolate cake with raspberry filling, iced in chocolate buttercream. The dress is white cake with raspberry, and the skirt is marshmallow fondant, painted with luster dust to make it sparkle!

Her wedding theme is "All you need is love", and I was humming it the entire time I was making the cake! But I was *really* thinking, "All you need is love...and a little white dress..."!

They call them S'Mores...

Because you always want SOME MORE!!!

Here is my take on a s'mores cupcake. It is my first creation. It is VERY yummy.

Chocolate cake, marshmallow buttercream with crushed graham crackers, then a graham cracker rectangle, a chocolate piece and two mini-marshmallows. I like to take the pieces off the top to make a s'more (uncooked, of course), then eat the cupcake. The rest of the family eats them differently, but they are weird :) I ran out of icing, so the rest are going to have chocolate topping.

Billie's Baby Shower

My buddy Billie had a baby shower over the weekend. The cake was my gift. The colors are neutral as the baby's sex is a surprise! The theme was stars and moon. The writing is a quote from Shakespeare..."A star danced, and under that, I was born" If I get a better pic I will post it...I added a fondant star when I got to the party.

Basketball Party

Here is the finished sheetcake, done for my son's basketball team. The last game was today. Baseball, here we come!

Easter...er...SPRING Party (Part 1)

The chickies are for Emma's class, the peeps (or CHEEPS, as Gabby calls them) are for another kindergarten class I was asked to bake for, and the sheet cake is the un-decorated cake for the basketball party on Saturday. I also have a decorated basketball cake to put on the sheet cake. In addition, I baked two dozen chocolate-chocolate chip muffins for Teacher Appreciation day. And Nick just informed me that he needs something to take into band in the morning. I'm off to finish up...
